Original Square minis such as this rare piece in opulent red suede, were released in the 1980’s, and were a bit slimmer in design compared today’s popular rectangle flap.

This flap bag is crafted from plush suede and features 24k gold plated hardware throughout which is no longer in production and therefore only found in vintage models. Its compact size lends itself perfectly to evening functions while its long signature strap allows for versatility in more casual settings. A curious fact is that this feature came into existence as a result of Coco Chanel becoming weary from carrying her purses in her hands. She yearned for something more practical yet modern. This piece is no different in that it will see you from day to night.
The single flap design found in vintage squares allows for a roomy interior to carry your essentials, and features a single slip pocket on the back panel as well as a zip pocket on the inside.
