The Chanel Square is perhaps one of the most sought-after vintage styles from the fashion house. The square shaped iterations of the classic flap bag were first introduced in the 1980’s and quickly became easily recognisable and gained an iconic status in their own right. 
This rare medium square flap in butter-soft pink lambskin belongs to the iconic era of evolution for these bags which spans from c. 1991-1994.

This rare medium square flap in butter-soft pink lambskin belongs to the iconic era of evolution for these bags which spans from c. 1991-1994.

This flap bag is crafted from 100% lambskin and its unique colour is perfectly complimented by the 24k gold plated hardware throughout which is no longer in production and therefore only found in vintage models. 

Its size lends itself perfectly to evening functions, however the medium size features a roomier interior which arguably fits more than a classic double flap bag. Its long signature woven strap allows for versatility in more casual settings as the bag can be worn cross-body to compliment a dressy look or elevate it a casual one as the statement piece it truly is. A curious fact is that this feature came into existence as a result of Coco Chanel becoming weary from carrying her purses in her hands. She yearned for something more practical yet modern. This piece is no different in that it will see you from day to night. 

It features a zip pocket on the inside and separate slip compartments including the iconic ‘lipstick’ compartment which is rumoured to have been Coco Chanel’s non-negotiable so she could carry her signature lip shade everywhere.
